A downloadable asset pack for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android

Software Used: 3DS Max, Zbrush, Photoshop, Quixel Suite (NDO), Illustratior, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine 4.

After thoroughly reading the brief, I instantly knew what I wanted to create. For a long time, I have been wanting to create a Nordic themed environment due to my fascination with Nordic mythology and history. Being an avid fan of the Viking TV show gave me some ideas on what I wanted to create. With the limitations of size being 30m x 30m x 30m, I decided to explore features of viking great halls. The hall is a central part of Viking society as it was where they ate, the location of the Jarl’s throne and where they discussed raids.

Overall, I am pleased with the outcome of the scene. It represents my ideas and what I set out to create. I tried to convey a sense of story/tone/mood within the environment. I believe it feels authentic with a modernised twist and fits the brief of the competition.
